Geek Meet October 2006
Remember something called Geek Meet? People with a sincere interest in web development, always up for learning more and hanging out with like-minded? Well, fret no more! It’s time again! 
The next Geek Meet will take place October 5th 18.00 at adocca entertainment here in Stockholm, located at Södermälarstrand 57B, floor 6.
There will be free pizza, free beer and two (!) presentations this time around. One will be held by Emil Stenström, who is now a fellow 9rules member (congrats!), and he will talk about the development of the new KTH web site. The other presentation will be held by yours truly about AJAX, presenting the basics but also discussing how it affects a web site in terms of accessibility and SEO, and how this can be addressed.
Admission is also, of course, free, because we believe in openly sharing knowledge and information.
Directions
If you don’t know where it is, just take a look at the map of the address.
The easiest way to get there is by subway to Mariatorget, and to make sure to sit as close to the front of the train as as possible.
Take the closest exit from the platform, and then go right after exiting the subway station. Follow Torkel Knutssonsgatan across Hornsgatan and down the slope to Münchenbryggeriet. Go through an arch, across a parking lot, and then it’s the second entrance on the right hand side (the first entrance is Fritidsresor).

Darn it, why do these things always end up being on dates that I absolutely can’t attend on? Well, I saw someone mentioning wanting to create a Geek Meet in Malmö/Lund, and if anyone in that region is reading this and still has interest in the idea, drop me a line at bjorklund dot emil at gmail dot com. I don’t know where to start, but putting up some kind of interest-flag seemed like a good idea…

Lars: Jag och Roger har snackat om att ha åtminstone ett första Geek Meet här i Göteborg, förmodligen då i NetRelations lokaler. Ingen av oss har haft tid att dra i det bara, men vi börjar känna trycket..

We normally don’t run that late, but then of course it depends on how far you have to travel, connections etc. Unfortunately I can’t put you up, but if you’re interested, maybe someone else coming can offer you somewhere to sleep?
Unless, of course, you prefer staying in a hostel or a hotel or at a friend’s place.
