Introducing RobLab

Today is the launch of my lab web site, RobLab (yes, it’s a corny name), where I will have code, tips and tricks for anyone to use. For the moment, it only has a few things and I don’t know with what frequency I’ll be adding stuff, but that totally depends on the reception it gets. I hope the web site will act as a resource to you, and will be of use.

Now, take a look, why don’t you?

    Jorkas,

Thank you! A nice week to you too!

    Erik,

    that's just terrible! πŸ™‚

  • Dejan says:

Great, I hope you will have something on XSLT soon πŸ™‚

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Hmm…

So far, I haven't had any plans for that, but why not?

Maybe I'll throw in something with XSLT in the future.

  • On the Three Column Reading Layout, have you done any work on getting it to work with content that contains markup?

I've been working on something similar, but I've hit a brick wall when it comes to parsing the innerHTML for tags and figuring out where I can and can't split the string.

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Matthew,

No, I haven't tested that. I guess it depends on the content, but the initial idea was just plain text, with maybe some <code>strong</code> and <code>em</code> tags.

If you want something more advanced than that, I definitely understand your problem.

Unfortunately, I haven't got any immediate solution to that.

I am trying to use your 3 column script I would like to use it with 2 columns in a fixed height and width div but I cant get it to work I know some css but js is still a bit of a mistery for me. all I would need is a script that splits up the conent in 2 colums with the posibility to gor forrward and backwards. maybe use the page images you use but that is not realy needed.

would it be posible to strip the js to do jus that?

    so no auto scaling etc

    Greets Dimitri
