Joining the 9rules Network

I’m such a copycat. But hell, if something’s good, I want to take part of it as well. I’m now officially a member of the 9rules Network.

Recently, two high-profile bloggers in the form of Molly and Roger Johansson joined, and that’s when I really got my eyes opened for the 9rules Network. I read up on it, and checked out the other members. Liking what I saw, I got in touch with mastermind and 9rules Network CEO, Paul Scrivens, to discuss about me becoming a part of it. And now I am!

I’m constantly looking for getting the greatest exposure possible and for ways how to increase the traffic to this web site, and this seems to be an excellent approach.

Make sure you check out the 9rules Network and its other very interesting members!

  • That's gotta be the first time someone has called me a "high-profile blogger" ;-).

    Welcome aboard!

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Roger,

    Thanks!

And you know you are high-profile; you're a frickin' blogging rockstar! πŸ™‚

  • andr3 says:

Yeah, 9rules is a great network of high quality blogs, so the aggregation of your blog will just keep up the high standards.

    well done. πŸ™‚

  • Martin S, says:

Congratulations man. Agree with andr3 πŸ˜‰

  • AsceticMonk says:

    Congratulations Robert!

I came to ur blog through 9rules Network, so you see, traffic is already starting to flow in to your site.

Nice site, good choice on the header image! Overall it has some oriental flavor, I like it a lot!

  • Mike says:

I'm diggin the looks of your site man, the padding between elements is really well-done. Great to have you aboard!

  • Shawn Grimes says:

Hey Robert, welcome to the network. I was shocked to see this screenshot of someone using a wordpress templae I made entering the network. I see you have made some tweaks here and there, nicely done. Again welcome to 9rules!

  • Robert Nyman says:

    andr3, Martin S,

Thank you! I'll do my best to live up the high 9rules Network standard.

    AsceticMonk, Mike,

Thanks, guys! As pointed out in Shawn's comment, I found one of his templates and tweaked it. However, the top image is taken by me when I was in China in 2002.

    Shawn,

    Thanks!

I hope you were shocked in a good way! πŸ™‚

When I first saw your Falling Leaves template, I liked it so much I decided to just adapt it to something more personal for me. I'm glad that you approve (I also credited you in a comment when I launched this web site)!

My own design skills (or lack thereof) can, for instance, be found in the Rome trip web site.

  • Welcome aboard… it's definitely cool to see sites that I frequent like yours making their way into the network.

  • Marco says:

I really like the 9rules network and it's goals as well. I got in touch with Paul as well today and I hope he'll consider accepting my humble weblog as well. The approach is just great. Excellent content all around and a great way to get some more exposure for which I'm really struggling lately. I think being part of the network definitely motivates people to write even better articles!

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Jonathan,

    Thanks!

I also hope you and I get the chance to meet some day to discuss nifty JavaScripting… πŸ™‚

    Marco,

Yes, the 9rules Network is really appealing and it has got great members!

I just briefly visited your web site, and it looks like you have some interesting content there. Good luck with Paul!

  • Marco says:

Thanks for the compliment Robert! I hope Paul agrees with you πŸ˜‰

  • Box says:

    Congratulations Robert!

But be sure not to spend to much time in front of the computer πŸ˜‰

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Marco,

I'm sure he will, sooner or later. πŸ™‚

    Box,

    Thanks!

Not more time, just more efficient time! πŸ™‚

  • Nathan Smith says:

Welcome aboard, good to have another on the bandwagon! We aren't all rock-stars like Roger, but thankfully that's not a prereq for joining. πŸ˜‰

I've frequented your site on several occasions, and am looking forward to continued great content in the future. Again, welcome Robert.

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Nathan,

    Thank you!

    I'm glad being a rock star wasn't a prerequisite… πŸ™‚

Also, I'm happy to hear that I'm not a complete stranger at least! πŸ™‚

  • Marco says:

Hmm so far no answer yet unfortunately πŸ™ I guess I might have to wait until there's another submission round? I don't quite understand what it actually takes to be accepted besides offering good content…

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Marco,

I'm sorry, it's really not up to me to say. Hopefully you'll get a reply, in time.

  • Marco says:

    I know, I wasn't implicating that πŸ˜‰

A lot of email gets stuck or lost in the pool of spam nowadays anyway…

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Marco,

    Oh, that too…

    Maybe you're spam material. πŸ˜‰

  • Marco says:

Hahaha well recently that's even true! Some idiot has been spamming other people's weblogs with links to my blog. Can you imagine anything more saddening?

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Marco,

Maybe it's just good marketing! πŸ˜‰

  • And hey, that's just how I found you! You're design / content definitely warrant it. Oh and I'll say again – awesome pic!!! Who took it?!

  • Robert Nyman says:

    Benjamin,

    Thank you! πŸ™‚

I took the pic during a round-the-world trip I and my girlfriend went on in 2002. There’s a travel web site (although the text is in Swedish).
