Web nerd accessibility humor
Yesterday, me and Mr. Stenström took the car to a nearby mall to have some lunch.
Once we got there, the parking lot was filled to the brim with cars. We circled around, trying to find a spot so we didn’t have to walk for half an hour to the lunch place. Suddenly we found an opening; only downside was that it was reserved for people with a handicap.
I just saw a guy with crutches then and jokingly said that we should take them and out them in the window of the car, to be eligible to park in handicap spot. Then Emil totally topped it with some good web nerd humor:
We should put a copy of WCAG in the window, that should be sufficient.
If you don’t get this joke, lucky you. We web dev geeks love internal humor… 🙂
I hope you found an ALT-ernative parking space. By the way, did the parking-lot lines have enough contrast with the asphalt. 🙂
That was soooo not worth a blog post 😉
Gerben,
He he! Yeah. 🙂
Emil,
Oh, it so was! 🙂
Thing that got me was that if you just parked and then walked to your destination you probably would have gotten there quicker rather than driving around for half an hour…
Jermayn,
Maybe. 🙂
